One from the series of 5 festive paintings featuring winter views of the Welsh town, acrylics and inks on board, ready to be displayed on your wall or shelf.
Red, black, light blues, pink and light greens. Two houses, some trees and branches – near the town’s hospital.
There’s a bit of a story with this one. I’ve sold a small painting locally and decided to post it myself. I walked to the opposite side of the valley and saw those houses with trees and thought something like that will make a nice subject for another painting. I took my phone out and took some shots for a bit of reference, although I prefer not to copy reality too close. Immediately an old man approached me and quite rudely started to ask where I am from, getting even more rude when he heard I have an accent. Because foreigners are always up to no good and should be treated with suspicion, of course 😡 He never believed I live in town and am a local citizen. Anyway, I felt I needed to finish the little painting, as an act of rebellion. 😊
